Pork, kielbasa and kraut for today.
(Can’t take credit for making the sausage or the kraut this time around, hadda go store bought)

Last meal of 2021. We always try to have a family meal together on New Years eve, that has turned into a little tradition. Everyone gets to pick a favorite and I cook a little of everyone’s pick. Its turned into a seafood buffet over the years, but I’m not complaining. The hard part is getting everything done at the same time.

Topped it off with a Cheese Cake and an adult punch with champagne and St. Germain.

Now the big decision of which whiskey will carry me into 2022. Happy New Years everyone.

GWG8541 looks great!! Similar to what we do for Christmas Eve, all seafood no meat. Always a challenge to get it on the table and everyone together while it is hot.

I haven’t been cooking. I had to go into the walk-in clinic yesterday morning. I am ringing in the new year with a nasty sinus infection. But I did manage to hang out with the neighbors for about 2 hours and did manage to get some tiger meat!

It might not look the most appealing but it was really good. A local butcher shop makes it here.

This was plan A from the other day. Forecast highs this weekend around 0 to-1. Needed something extra.

Surg another thing that is good to bake with kraut is chicken breast. I put a layer of kraut, then chicken, then cover with more kraut. Makes great tasting and very moist chicken

hey vegetarians, my food poops on your food!

Made a chicken & sausage gumbo for New Years Day. Has been a lasting family tradition since I was a kid growing up in Louisiana.

                                          Happy New Year all!!!
