KETO - Egg McMuffin w/ bacon
Been playing around with a KETO bread substitute. Makes great waffles.
      Pretty good eats.

I had done keto early 2019 and went from 300 to 260ish in about 3 months then it took about another 6 months to shed another 20lbs before I hit a wall and eventually slowly let carbs back in. I had also been strict about only eating between 11am and 5pm.

But when I was loosing weight like crazy people would ask what I was doing, and most didn’t believe me that I was eating mostly fatty foods and greens. But my blood pressure and cholesterol remained good, I have an eczema issue that cleared up, and my joints felt better than high school. But keto’s not for everyone, I’ve known people who’s body did not respond so good.

Onion and Garlic Brats from Waltons. We added high temp cheddar and pre-cooked bacon to the mix. Makes for a tasty brat! I was lazy so I heated a can of beans on the Weber.

Jonathon I work in the health care industry at a major hospital. To be clear, I am not a clinician. The bottom line is it definitely a personal choice. There is way to much we do not know, and yes there was a big rush in attempt to get ahead of this. Having said that, I opted to get the vaccine after a high school friend contracted COVID and died in about 2 weeks. I had a heart to heart with my family Doc and he thought it would be best in my situation. I think you hit the nail on the head by doing the best that you can to take care of yourself and making sure your nutritional in take is on track. What is good for one person, may not be the best option for the next one. Only time will reveal the details of all of this. To add levity to the topic and since I am not a medical practitioner, but do drink with some, I highly recommend good Bourbon or Tennessee sour mash help kill those bad germs. Enjoy life, it can be way to short.

ND Mike Nothing Lazy about that. That is true grilling. We have done it many times in years passed. Like that bacon idea a lot & glad to hear it worked. I had thought about using ham, but bacon takes it to a whole nother level.

KETO Spanish rice. I wasn’t sure how good this would be, but I was very happy with the results.

Please tell me what makes it “keto”?
                                        Is it actually rice?
