ND Mike you can take your weather back up north. Now that deer season is over, I have no use for this cold and snow.

Made a batch of deer Chili today. We had freezing rain that turned to snow. Tomorrow’s low is supposed to be -3. Chili and fresh cornbread seemed appropriate.

For desert, a Sweet Potatoe pie. The whipped cream was canned this time.

GWG8541 Now that is what I like, I will take the Elliott Ness & Sweet Tater Pie too, thank you very much!
We did our big batch of chili & Mexican Style Street Corn cornbread last week with Lemon Meringue pie. Have a whole lot to our oldest son & daughter in law to help them to get to feeling better & froze up two large bricks for Doomsday. The only bad thing is I cannot seem to get my Barber, whole Bulgarian Style Buttermilk any more. That is the only kind I like as all the others, I just do not care for so much. I am going to have to send away for that culture & make my own. Nice job on that chili & perfect timing.

Homemade French Onion Soup from scratch ( except for the gruyere, parmigiano reggiano and French Bread). Designed a new recipe that is pretty darn good. The cast iron dutch oven was 3/4 full before people starting requesting refills. Happy that I took a pic before it was all gone.

Also doing several batches of last of the Mohegans peppers from the garden for some fermented hot sauce for the year & then some. I cannot wait to try some of the other vittles.

calldoctoday Thank god I took a shot of the pot before the whole CI Dutch Oven pot was finished. The neighbors only wanted a small bowl because they never had it. Then, attacked me after trying it. I probably should put up the recipe.

bocephus I chose the French Onion Soup below instead of the chicken noodle soup because I had more onions than chicken today. Couldn’t go out because of the 11 inches we received. But, chicken noodle soup with homemade noodles is the bomb for sure. We both ate very well.
