RafterW Many people can’t make a meal from the “fridge” because it’s not in a recipe. Congrats on not being one of the “I can only cook when I have a recipe in front of me” people. Looks edible to me for sure.

zbigjeff I learned from my mom, season things until it tastes good, drove my wife crazy when she asked for a recipe, mom would give her the basics and then tell her to add seasonings until it tastes good. Wife is a good cook but an excellent baker, more structured.

I smoked some cheese before Christmas, vac packed it and let it mellow in the fridge. I shredded some of the Hot Pepper Jack and Cheddar for and omelet this morning and man was it tasty.

My lovely wife is feeling a little under the weather, so I asked what she wanted for diner. She requested Shrimp Pho Soup, so after a quick trip to the store I put together her request. I did spice up the shrimp a little extra with some Excalibur Firecracker rub before putting them in the pot. It blended well with the ingredients of the soup and was not overly hot, since I seeded and diced the Jalapenos.

Bob Stehlik it definitely cleared out the sinuses, but wasn’t overly hot. Its one of our favorite soups when needing a pick me up.

I smoked some cheese before Christmas, vac packed it and let it mellow in the fridge. I shredded some of the Hot Pepper Jack and Cheddar for and omelet this morning and man was it tasty.

GWG8541 Great looking cheese. It’s pretty hard to wait for it to mellow. I always want some before it’s ready, then remember why that’s a bad idea.

Happy Sunday everyone, put that homemade bacon to good use with an eggs Benedict. The base is a potato cake with an avocado spread, creme, and grape tomatoes, the mrs. even plated this one. Bloody Mary’s are in the works as I type.

Than sit’n in church and thinking about fish’in!
