I’ve done them many ways quick pickles , fermented , etc. keep coming back to the way my uncle used to make them.
Kirby cukes
6c h2o
6c white vinegar
5Tbsp pickling salt
About a Tbsp of pickling spice
Tbsp sugar
Some dill fresh or freeze dried ~1tsp
About a head of garlic cloves smashed
Leave on counter for 3 days with loose lid then refrigerate And that’s it
Sometimes I’ll add hot pepper to spice it upEventually I’ll have to get a more precise recipe
Not sure how long they’re good for but they usually get eaten within a week.Need to find a good recipe for half sour pickles.
Surg Thanks. I’ve been going to plant some Kirby’s but didn’t get around to getting seeds this year. Your recipe sounds similar to the one I’ve used. I’ll give it a try once the cucumbers start in earnest.

cdavis Nice haul. My beans aren’t even up yet.

My vertical garden is coming right along!

Tex_77 Don’t forget the mint tea then too. You can do that spearmint fresh or freeze it, better yet dehydrate it. We do four different types.

cdavis Looks great!

Tex_77 Boy! Are you way ahead of our region. Lookin’ GOOD!!!

zbigjeff ya the weather has been crazy this year
-
wdaly that was the first picking on green beans and the last for English peas.
-
Tex_77 good looking vertical garden. What a space saver. Congrats

cdavis Looks like you are on your way to a wonderful year.

The garden is coming along slowly. I finally have tomatoes on the vine on my Early Girl plant. The deer and rabbits are causing havoc this year. Most of my okra and about a half row of beans disappeared this week.

GWG8541 Great start on the growing and being a total giver to the wildlife community. I know, I know!!! Not exactly how you wanted the items extracted and used. You’re definitely on the right track.

bocephus I sure hope so.
