ND Mike Nothing better than homemade chicken noodle soup on a blustery day, unless you add a grilled cheese with it. My wife makes homemade noodles for ours, have some soup in the fridge right now.

Cool rainy day here. We had a roasted chicken for supper last night that the wife made. I decided to make chicken noodle soup the only way I know how. From scratch and a boiled carcass. I did add store bought gluten free egg noodles. Hit the spot on this wet dreary windy day. Eastern part of the state has a tornado warning and the western part of the state is getting snow.

ND Mike I used to not care for chicken noodle soup growing up is as you know some boil the chicken and think it’s great. But once when someone discovered nothing less than a rotisserie chicken needs to be used the moons aligned.

HerbcoFood I agree. Rotisserie chicken makes good chicken noodle soup. Spatchcocked chicken on the grill does too!

wdaly If you like a heavier smoke but not over whelming, try Hickory or a Hickory blend with Maple or Alder. We found it to be pretty tasty.

Had to try this new seasoning from spiceology. They are in the Sous Vide now.

I really like the intial smell of both of these. I wish they had a shaker top, but a tsp worked.

lkrfletcher I’m in the process of deciding what types off seasoning I’m purchasing. Probably will end up with both spiceology and excaliber. Wanting at least one for roasts/steaks and the other for chicken/pork. Who knows how big that box is going to be.
