bocephus ND Mike Re: Having homemade chicken soup on a blustery day. The smell in the house is even better. Then, eating it is a very nice touch. But, the smell stays around for a couple days and is just one of those smells that is calming. Oh boy, now you have my senses going wild.

ND Mike You can really use the moisture up that way, I was in Minnesota the first of August and everyone was taking their boats off the lake because it was so low.

Had to try this new seasoning from spiceology. They are in the Sous Vide now.

I really like the intial smell of both of these. I wish they had a shaker top, but a tsp worked.

lkrfletcher I’m in the process of deciding what types off seasoning I’m purchasing. Probably will end up with both spiceology and excaliber. Wanting at least one for roasts/steaks and the other for chicken/pork. Who knows how big that box is going to be.

ND Mike Nothing better than homemade chicken noodle soup on a blustery day, unless you add a grilled cheese with it. My wife makes homemade noodles for ours, have some soup in the fridge right now.

craigrice Absolutely, I am assembling recipes from my grandmothers, aunts and my parents. Also recipes from my wife’s family. Have a hand written one from my grandmother making homemade soap.

craigrice When my wife would talk to my mom about some of her recipes it would drive her crazy because my mom would give ingredients but she would always say a little of this and a little of that when she tried to get measurements. Finally had my mom measure things for a base and then my wife learned to add more of the seasonings she likes. Now she is like my mom “put in as much of something as you like then taste it” I think this is the difference between cooking and baked goods.

Ok. Been totally obsessed with baby reds for the last couple weeks. Fried, broiled and grilled doesn’t matter.

Should we fire up the debate again as Jonathon alluded too on the livestream today? I made chili. Not Texas chili but chili the way we eat it up North. You see, we eat chili when it is cold out. Therefore, we put beans in it. You need all the extra protein you can get to help keep you warm and the beans help it stick to your ribs! Anyways, this was a mighty good bowl!
