Joe Hell Try using more honey in your recipes for mead and adding fruit. I used to make mead, made a Marion-berry mead that placed 2nd in the National Homebrew competition in the 90’s. 18 lbs. (12 lbs per gallon) of honey in five gallons plus the fruit

John Gehringer I’ll try that! I’ve got a line on some excellent local honey from Walla Walla.

Joe Hell I used to use local wildflower honey for mine. If you can get some orchard honey or fireweed that would give some great flavor too.

Jonathon s request, please list your drink of choice. I’ll start, I love bourbon and Coors Light or a good old Coors yellow belly. My bourbons of choice are Elijah Craig, Bulliet, Maker’s Mark, Jim Beam Black and W.L. Wellers. Now if I just want to pound down some drinks a good 7&7 can’t be beat.

PapaSop It was quite good! I little closer to medium than I like but tasty all the same. I used a Walla Walla Sweet Onion seasoning that I made from dehydrated local onions. It’s my new favorite go-to!

Joe Hell Bet the weather doesn’t look like that today. I know the sun isn’t out here, it’s been snowing since 6 AM this morning. A bit of snow on the lawn, but to warm to stay. Hopefully it doesn’t freeze tonight. That is a fine looking steak, even come with the floss for after the meal.

John Gehringer It’s been warm and gorgeous here the last couple of weeks. Today is patchy skies and a bit cooler. The next 2 days are downright chilly with a chance of snow. I had planned on grilling this weekend but had to move it to yesterday instead.
