Tried my hand at some pecan pie. First time making it so we’ll see. Hate to admit it but I cheated and bought pre-made frozen crust. Im sure it pales in comparison to the ones I’ve heard you guys talk about on here but hoping it’s at least palatable. 🤞🏼

Tex_77 not this time around. Figured I’d hone in on a good base recipe then tweak it from there. Will definitely have some in a glass beside it though.

Surg Looks good Surg, nothing wrong with store bought crusts, just make sure to spray cooking spray on the crust before you fill them. That’s the secret to keep the filling from seeping through the crust and sticking to the pan.

We will have my side of the family here Christmas eve, so we will be hosting about 24 family this evening. My youngest son, said he wanted to make the bread for today. So last night we went to work. We have had sour dough starter for a few months and made 3 loaves of sour dough and 3 loaves of Cinnamon bread and baked them early this morning. I have never made Christmas jam, but love it. I always pick up a jar at a Mennonite store. The fresh Cinnamon bread with the Christmas jam and a cup of coffee was breakfast this morning. I still have a lot of cooking to do, time to get to work.

Reindeer bait. Chex, pretzels, M&Ms, mini marshmallows, and a bunch of white and milk chocolate.

Candied cranberries. Doesn’t have the sugary sparkle like the recipe I followed but they taste pretty darn good.
