Picked up some chopped beef meat patties in a small meat market on my way home from out west, then stopped at a local farmers co-op to get the vegetables. The brussels are coated in Franks Sweet Chili sauce.

Well, rare post for me here. For some reason it just worked. Anyways. Had a ribeye and not much else.

A couple of baby reds, some onion and seasoning. Sliced and simmered with some olive oil, margarine, brown sugar and spices. Not sure how the brown sugar came into play but it worked. Perhaps Mr. Evan’s had something to do with it.

Added some pickled beets from my Aunt. These are like candy.

PapaSop The two sides with a touch of sweet with the savory meat hit all of the taste buds. Good job.

We needed a quick diner while getting ready for family to come to our house Friday night. I fried up a little ground venison to make some tacos. When my kids were little, they called them deerco’s and it stuck. I seasoned the meat with Excalibur Chipotle Lime sweet rub. Shredded a little cheddar from cheese I smoked a few days ago. Topped with fresh onion and tomato, home canned picante sauce and sour cream. If the shells look funny or orange colored, it is Old El Paso stand and stuff nacho cheese seasoned shells. I made a side with black bean refried’s topped with smoked cheddar and fresh onion.

Bob Stehlik I’m probably a bad parent. Im not sure my kids knew tacos were made from beef until they were in high school, or that they were actually called tacos.

GWG8541 That looks good. I have been wanting to turn some of that smoked pork shoulder into tacos, real tacos where you fry the corn tortillas, but everyone has been getting me to hold off since we have so much work to do right now getting these project reports completed so we can relax later.

Tex_77 love fried catfish. Usually go for the nuggets for the extra crunch.

GWG8541 That looks good. I have been wanting to turn some of that smoked pork shoulder into tacos, real tacos where you fry the corn tortillas, but everyone has been getting me to hold off since we have so much work to do right now getting these project reports completed so we can relax later.

calldoctoday i haven’t fried my own tortillas in a while. My Mom always fried them and even the flour shells for the homemade tacos.
