So whats the story? If you do not mind sharing.

LOL. Got you. It was just a dumb joke I made last summer when I was posting about building the meat smoker from the old upright freezer.

I was cutting a lot of holes in the sheet metal box then, which usually means I cut myself at least once. I posted that doctored picture of my hand along with pictures of the sheet metal work.

Here is my hand without the special effects.

processhead I need a good laugh. I thought you were like my Firefighter nextdoor neighbor. He lost his index finger running a saw cutting a roof on a house to vent the smoke/fire. After that, his nickname from the other fire guys was “trigger”.

YooperDog definitely one underrated whiskey. I’ve had a few outstanding single barrels from them and their pricepoint is really good.

GWG8541 YooperDog Strange things happen when you hide the bottles and perform a perfect blind tasting. Like many, we’ve found out that the “bottom dwellers labeled by the chasers” usually end up in the top third of the night. Chasers shy away from this type of tasting because it hurts their “feelings”. Oh wellllllll!!!

GWG8541 YooperDog Interestingly my Father owned a bar/restaurant in Buffalo NY. and one of his favorite games was taking bets on blind taste tests… When you can’t see the color or label it’s darn impossible to tell the difference… He would make a lot fm those that thought they could id top shelf… And the challenge happened Offen with a double or nothing loss… Cheers

Tex_77 Interesting that it is a blend of different whiskeys and still meets the bonded requirements

glen If you look at the bonding requirements, they just have to be produced by the same distillery, the same season and by the same distiller. It can be multiple batches which can vary greatly just through the process and the time of the year they are barreled.

johnsbrewhouse I never doubted that it met the requirements Jack Daniels is a huge distillery that probably distills a variety of whiskeys at the same time and in the same season
More unusual is the statement of varieties on the bottle and published blend amounts:

“Jack Daniel’s Triple Mash is a blend of three straight Bottled-In-Bond whiskeys – 60% Jack Daniel’s Tennessee Rye, 20% Jack Daniel’s Tennessee Whiskey and 20% Jack Daniel’s American Malt. Each expression is distilled in Lynchburg, Tennessee, in the same distilling season, aged to the stipulations of the Bottled in Bond Act, then blended and bottled at 100 proof. It’s a remarkable whiskey that can only be crafted by a complete distillery like Jack Daniel’s”.

Teach a man to fish and he drinks beer for a lifetime
