What did everyone cook today?

Tex_77 It’s funny you mention McDonald’s because I was totally going for the drive-in burger joint fast food kinda vibe. Nailed it! My beef was on the higher end though. I was making summer sausage at the shop the other day and the only available product I had to work with was super lean beef roasts so I supplemented with pork back fat. Easily the best summer sausages I’ve made and the juiciest of burgers.

wdaly baked halibut is very good. While in Alaska, a number of chefs up there marinated it in Milk and then cooked it like a steak with a variety of seasonings. That was also good.
zbigjeff I thought Halibut was so good, it did not need the milk bath. On the other hand, shark needs both a milk & mustard bath. Can’t hurt the Halibut though, especially the barn doors.

RON PARRISH Grand DAD wins the up vote from your grandsons. Good oysters at this time of year are more difficult to find and you did IT.

zbigjeff I shucked and froze them in their own juice and washed shells and keep them in freezer so I would have them for the winter. The boys put a hurtin on my supply but I wouldn’t have it any other way!
