Smoked pork tenderloin today with fried okra and green tomatoes straight from the garden. It may not be real healthy, but man was it good.

GWG8541 I also raise okra. My wife fries mine just like yours. Nothing better than fresh okra. Everything else looks delicious.

wdaly I had a great crop last year. I breaded some and put them on a baking sheet in the freezer to flash freeze. Popped them in a zip lock and had some fried okra into December. They fried up great… Im hoping to have a little extra to work with this season also.

HerbcoFood man I haven’t thought about Jack in the Box since being stationed at Camp Pendleton, CA about 35 years ago. We had one just outside the gate on our side of the base. It was a regular destination from eating at the chow hall.

Solid cooking today, everyone! I made our first fresh garden tomato BLT’s of the summer today. I didn’t get around to making bacon last fall so I’m sad to say that these were store bought bacon. Never the same once you’ve made your own.
