After High School I enlisted in the United States Marine Corps. In 1986 I was lucky enough to join Dayton PD and did 32 years as a LEO. I retired as the Violent Crimes Bureau Commander. I’m now working in the private sector doing police/security training for a large Healthcare network. Life is good.

Soon to be retired home inspector. Looked at thousands of properties over the past 22 years. Seen lots of stuff, but I can’t recall seeing anything like the cool stuff I’m seeing on this site.

I’m actually a chemical processor, we make organic peroxides… on the side I do the meat processing and working on opening a business to expand doing it, slowly accruing all the better equipment. I’m 30 years old, so there’s time but I’m getting good at the Processing!

It all started back in '72 at a movie theatre… Won’t bore you with the middle parts. Last 35yrs I’ve been in the wholesale wine and spirits industry. First as a route driver and the last ten as warehouse receiving manager.

Got into computers in high school. Joined the navy and spent 8 years of which 6 1/2 years as a computer operator and programmer. Got out and was in IT until I retired 7 years ago. I’ve been hunting and fishing since I was a kid. I’ve been bow hunting since 84 and am still slinging arrows at deer except I’m now using a crossbow. I’m also a woodworker and photographer. I’ve been smoking meat for most of my life and have just started making some snack sticks using casings. Life has got to be great when everyday is a Saturday!

Rutinbuck Saturday Morning, harvesting & processing good meat, creating beautiful things with wood, & taking photos of it all & more. What more could you ask for? It sounds like you are serving your time well.

I’m retired Air Force, went overseas and worked as a contractor for a little while after I retired. I took a few years off after having my second spinal fusion to just heal and relax. I work at a small family owned business in sales now and really enjoy what I do.

calldoctoday I was working 2 days a week but when COVID began I took a leave of absence and am still on it today. Not sure if I’m going back or not. Fishing season is here so I get out 2-3 times a week so going back might interfere with fishing. Going to shoot some pictures Saturday and smoke 3 ten pound pork butts Sunday. They always come out so good.

Gotta keep working hard to get to that point so many of you are at! Cannot wait until I have more time to do the things I love, especially when it comes to meat processing!
