I’m actually a chemical processor, we make organic peroxides… on the side I do the meat processing and working on opening a business to expand doing it, slowly accruing all the better equipment. I’m 30 years old, so there’s time but I’m getting good at the Processing!

It all started back in '72 at a movie theatre… Won’t bore you with the middle parts. Last 35yrs I’ve been in the wholesale wine and spirits industry. First as a route driver and the last ten as warehouse receiving manager.

Got into computers in high school. Joined the navy and spent 8 years of which 6 1/2 years as a computer operator and programmer. Got out and was in IT until I retired 7 years ago. I’ve been hunting and fishing since I was a kid. I’ve been bow hunting since 84 and am still slinging arrows at deer except I’m now using a crossbow. I’m also a woodworker and photographer. I’ve been smoking meat for most of my life and have just started making some snack sticks using casings. Life has got to be great when everyday is a Saturday!

Rutinbuck Saturday Morning, harvesting & processing good meat, creating beautiful things with wood, & taking photos of it all & more. What more could you ask for? It sounds like you are serving your time well.

I’m retired Air Force, went overseas and worked as a contractor for a little while after I retired. I took a few years off after having my second spinal fusion to just heal and relax. I work at a small family owned business in sales now and really enjoy what I do.

calldoctoday I was working 2 days a week but when COVID began I took a leave of absence and am still on it today. Not sure if I’m going back or not. Fishing season is here so I get out 2-3 times a week so going back might interfere with fishing. Going to shoot some pictures Saturday and smoke 3 ten pound pork butts Sunday. They always come out so good.

craigrice While I still do special event caterings and such, I’m busier than I have ever been. More projects around the house, more sausage, more baking, just more everything. No joking, I work harder now then when I had the everyday job.

But, I did make it to British Columbia about 20 years ago & the Fishing was fantastic (Chinook, I think it was Sockeye, but it might have been Coho now that I am remembering for a second, & Halibut. The whole experience was wonderful & I sure do hope I can make it back or better yet, Alaska some day. I will keep my fingers crossed for you too!

Marine Corps 1989-1995. Got a job in manufacturing plant my hometown when I got out. Started in shipping and in 5 years worked my way up to welding, machine operator and then machine programmer. Water tower fabrication company in town needed a AutoCad guy. I went and talked to the owner. Said I have never used AutoCad but I am sure I could figure it out. He took a chance on me and I have been here 20 years last month.
