Went to my inlaws for New Years day dinner and to watch The Ohio State Buckeyes play a great Rose Bowl game against Utah. My contribution to the spread was a Black Bean salad and a Peanut Butter Pie. We had pork loin, sausage and kraut with mashed potatoes. Sorry, but some of the pics were a little after the fact. The game and a few beers distracted me.

A Classic Oyster stew with added lobster, scallops and shrimp. Maybe it doesn’t classify as Oyster Stew anymore, should we call it Seafood Stew. Here you go wdalyFE15D569-AD32-4B6D-B466-286F6519869B.jpeg

I have been out of pocket in Colorado showing my baby girl real snow. I hope all of y’all almost missed me! Here is one breakfast I decided to make nice. Avocado toast, bacon, eggs over easy topped with ranchero sauce and sliced tomatoes.

New Year’s Day I made some black-eyed pea soup, roasted brussels sprouts rolled in Frank’s Sweet Chili sauce and some cast iron corn bread.

HerbcoFood Hope you are staying safe out there on the road & OK with all those fires we have been hearing about in Co. We ended up working through most of the holiday this year, for whatever that is worth, & will be on the road heavy all week.

Since my Sam’s Club had whole Beef Tenderloin $25 off per tenderloin, we had Filet mignon tonight. I trimmed it and cut it up into steaks for diner and vac packed the rest for the freezer. I did the filet on the outdoor griddle to medium rare with mushrooms and onions. I baked a sweet potato to go with it. Simple, but definitely satisfying.

HerbcoFood Hope you are staying safe out there on the road & OK with all those fires we have been hearing about in Co. We ended up working through most of the holiday this year, for whatever that is worth, & will be on the road heavy all week.

calldoctoday We left the days the fires started in Boulder, had no idea about them until the following day. What I did notice in the Denver Airport is they don’t have tv’s everywhere playing the news.
