Chef When I get mine I was thinking of just using it as a serving board and not cut on it.
bocephus I tend to use pressed glass plates and scrap granite from countertops for presentations.
Many countertop installers will gladly give you scraps of all colors and sizes for free. I get pressed glass, cut glass, and crystal serving pieces from 2nd hand stores. I started this when I realized that it was cheaper than disposable plastic items.
It presents well and easy to clean up.

GWG8541 Just the mineral oil you get at the drug store. I have been using mineral oil on my cutting boards for about 40 years.
Chef Cheers to your statement about mineral oil. Seasons it and keeps it that way.

Chef Very nice presentation, I would never have something this big, just a few family or friends. Yours shows what a little ingenuity will do though.
