HerbcoFood I also shop my liquor from Total. I go to the website and make a list of my favorites and then always add some new ones. One thing I like about Total is, if you are a member, you can access your purchases/receipts to see what you’ve bought in the past. They really do have a great selection with descriptions and ratings.

Bob Stehlik Yeah I do really enjoy their stores and I like how the app give you a good idea of where the bottle is that you are searching for. The only problem I have is my local TW is a pain in the butt to get to, so when I go I go. But there is a local mom n pop a mile from me that I like to hit up because they get some good stuff in there. Yeah you will pay a little more for a bottle but I only traveled 2 miles round trip to get there.

PapaSop thats my favorite everyday whiskey and the Buffalo Trace product I drink the most of these days. Its definitely my choice for parties and get togethers when I’m making whiskey mixed drinks. It makes a great Old Fashioned and it sips fine on its own. Thanks for posting, it reminds me I need to pick up another bottle. If you haven’t tried it, they do a bonded bottle. I believe it was about $14 for a 750ml bottle. Its worth it if you are looking for some get there quicker liquor.

Never seen the bond before. We don’t carry it for some reason. To be fair, after a couple of these it was fine. Maybe just the initial taste thing.

PapaSop When I get a bottle like you described, we will drink it with Ginger Ale or use it for making Bourbon Sweet Potatoes, or the wife will add some to her Cranberry, Banana or Zucchini breads , even Pumpkin or pecan pie.

Ginger Ale used to be my go to for drinks. Actually haven’t had a “mixed” drink in a long time. Everything on the rocks these days. Never heard of using bourbon in breads, but then again I don’t bake. Sounds interesting.

PapaSop I usually drink mine straight up as well but there’s a couple of really good GA out there. We like Vernor’s and Canada Dry makes a BOLD GA. Bourbon and Ginger tastes real good after cutting the lawn on a hot day!( but so does an ice cold beer! or 2/3/4!)

Bob Stehlik Try Buffalo Rock, it is the best if you are going to mix something with either a Bourbon or Tennessee Whiskey. You just about do not even need anything to go with the Buffalo Rock GA, that spice is so right.

First try on this one. Very tasty. My unrefined taste buds say vanilla right away. Any better taste buds out there?

PapaSop I have tried that. It’s pretty smooth and easy to sip. I like your cute little bottles. They would work well for taking them to a tasting party.

Scooped a bottle this this evening, not too bad neat. My taste buds are a little off…maybe closer to way off currently. But I can pick up on the butterscotch after taste.
