Prime Rib on the smoker right now. Found two small roasts in the freezer and decided I better use them. Hopefully I’ll be able to eat them with the fresh corn and cauliflower, woke up with back pain on one side. Hoping it’s not another kidney stone, I usually end up in the E/R then the O/R with a stint since I go sepsis so fast. I tried to stay hydrated during the hot weather. Feels like my back acting up. We’ll see if I end up with a fever, either way the Prime is going to get cooked!

Update, I ended up in the ER for 5 hours, they found I have a small pulmonary embolism is my right lung. I got home after midnight with blood thinners on board. Apparently, knee replacements and back surgeries have upped my chances of getting one. If you ever find that you have back pain and it hard to breath then it begins to radiate, hit the ER. I guess I will have several appointment this week. I did get the prime rib off the smoker, but didn’t have any, the wife and kid did. They enjoyed it.
Hurts to breathe deep right now, but getting it under control. Thanks for all the concerns and well wishes!

We’ll see if I end up with a fever, either way the Prime is going to get cooked!

johnsbrewhouse Got to determine what type of stone.
I caught one in a strainer and found out it was a uric acid stone, easy to treat with allopurinol
I haven’t had another one in 10 years. It also eliminated occasional severe knee pain

Pork tenderloin x2. One Asian style, one rubbed and wrapped (but bacon all fell off while cooking). And a Portabella mushroom steak in the grill pan as an afterthought.

glen Excellent point as noted, it depends on the the type. Mine have always been calcium oxalate. I am really glad you only had to deal with it once & you could stop them. That is great. I hope John can too.
