I am going to be experimenting here soon with a mixture of: Western Son Prickly Pear Vodka, Ghost Tequila, Mineral water and lime, I know it will be good, it will be trying to nail down the perfect mixture of sweet to heat. At the end of the day I will be in a great mood no matter how long it takes to figure out my ratios.

Jonathon s request, please list your drink of choice. I’ll start, I love bourbon and Coors Light or a good old Coors yellow belly. My bourbons of choice are Elijah Craig, Bulliet, Maker’s Mark, Jim Beam Black and W.L. Wellers. Now if I just want to pound down some drinks a good 7&7 can’t be beat.

I just picked up a bottle of Ardbeg. I’ve been wanting to try it for quite some time. This one came with a free mini bbq smoker so I couldn’t resist!

Joe Hell If you like boggy and smokey, that’s a huge hit. One of my female buds introduced me to that brand. I was astonished that she drank it. But, glad she introduced me to it. Enjoy!!!

Love Ardbeg 10. The 5 (Wee Beastie)was decent for the price. Haven’t tried any of the others yet but will eventually. Especially if I see one with a smoker tube, that is awesome. Enjoy!

I use a round ball ice mold. Those large balls actually work and can last for multiple drinks (my wife says that’s because I drink them too fast)

glen I use the large round ice also. I saw a commercial where an ice maker actually makes them. However, the wife has informed me that we are not getting a new fridge, just for the whiskey ice. kyle I have contemplated picking up those whiskey rocks. Are they worth it? I’m alot like glen, I get several drinks per ice sphere. Were not drinking to fast, were conserving water.

HerbcoFood if you remember the combination that works best, let us know. You may want to right it down as you go, things could definitely get foggy after a few of those.

Bob Stehlik Going? I step at a time behind the walker. Have 1.5 weeks left before I make first visit to surgeon. Healing is boring. Getting better each day. Meds: Off of them for 1 day. Darn it, you were reading my mind. It will taste very good with some fellow bourbonites. Just have to keep it slow. Will have a bit of some Weller while reading a book called “Pappyland”. What a great insight into the bourbon industry. Daughter gave it to me for “father’s day”. She was thinking properly.

YooperDog For once in my life, I’m following exactly how they are designing the rehab. Yep, slow but sure. Thanks for the thoughts and encouragement. It’s steady as she goes until I see the surgeon on 4 weeks after the implant on 7-13. Then, hopefully, rehab will be adjusted upward. Crossing fingers. For sure, don’t want to start ALL OVER. 🙂

GWG8541 for the finest final product, use the finest ingredients. My brother drinks high dollar stuff, he only uses frozen cubes that look like rocks, not ice cubes because he doesn’t want to water it down.

kyle GWG8541 It’s hilarious how all of the bourbonites out there praise the “right way” to drink their liquor. Reading Pappyland (all about the Van Winkle clan and Pappy Van Winkle) and that whole family drank their bourbon “ON THE ROCKS WITH A TWIST”. So, please just have fun with IT.

zbigjeff I have fun evertime I drink bourbon! I am by no means a purest. I like mixed drinks made from bourbon, I’m just too cheap to mix with the good stuff. I buy Benchmark buy the half gallon for my mixer bourbon. 19.99 a half gallon and it tastes pretty darn good straight up.kyle my favorite whiskey drink is an Old Fashioned and every once in a while I’ll do one with the good stuff mainly for a higher proof. A Gold Rush is another really good summer whiskey drink.
