What did everyone cook today?

Another venture here. Well, plan “A” failed. Pork chop thing. A couple things missing and the store was far away. Perhaps tomorrow.
Plan B…
Simmered down some onions with olive oil, oleo and some seasonings. Dropped a chunk of ribeye on top. Let steam a bit and… Oh yeah,
.

Goodnight

PapaSop That made my mouth water.

Could you want anything more than morels in the middle of winter?! Butter-sautéed morels for this meatless pasta. I didn’t have any meat thawed out so the morels worked in a pinch! Homemade garlic bread with roasted bell peppers and Italian cheese blend.

RafterW those Morrel’s sound awesome

Started of the last day of 2021 with a good southern style breakfast. Buttermilk biscuits and County ham. I add a slice of tomato, but man do I miss my garden maters. Another year in the books.

This was plan A from the other day. Forecast highs this weekend around 0 to-1. Needed something extra.

Just some comfort stuff.

GWG8541 Nice breakfast, mine was French toast made with eggnog and venison sausage on the side. Couple of NY strips and cheesy mashed potatoes for supper to say goodbye to 2021.

gus4416 Great to see! If this came in a video game I might get mine to help! LOL
RON PARRISH Now you may be on to something, but the real thing is always better. A picture is worth a thousand words, but there is nothing like the real thing, Baby…

gus4416 That is the way to start folks off right with something they can enjoy & prove industrious for life.

PapaSop Hard to get into that good stuff here. I have been begging Margaret for light breakfasts as it just does not feel like Winter. Low 80’s here today.

Last meal of 2021. We always try to have a family meal together on New Years eve, that has turned into a little tradition. Everyone gets to pick a favorite and I cook a little of everyone’s pick. Its turned into a seafood buffet over the years, but I’m not complaining. The hard part is getting everything done at the same time.
Shrimp Scampi

Crawfish Steamed in Beer

Snow Crab Legs Steamed

Lobster Tails Grilled

Pierogies cooked on the griddle

Green Beans seasoned with bacon

Mixed Collard and Turnip greens with smoked pork

Topped it off with a Cheese Cake and an adult punch with champagne and St. Germain.

Now the big decision of which whiskey will carry me into 2022. Happy New Years everyone. -
