kyle No bigs winds today just a constant dropping of the white stuff. I am pretty lucky none of the folks I plow for are in a hurry or need to get plowed open quickly. I sort of get in a zone and just keep clearing. Real slippery out underneath this stuff, makes it challenging to get into some of the tighter quarters.

YooperDog our snow started and ended with freezing sleet. My customers are all retired and in no hurry, but I like to get them open in case of a emergency. Stay safe out there

YooperDog We have about a dozen homes with driveways that have hills, the neighbor and I plow them after we do the main road, then clear the icebergs from driveways for those who we know can’t. We have a lot of folks that are older than we are (I’m slightly over 60, I’ll stop there and the neighbor matches me) so we make sure they are taken care of. Neighbor is a retired firefighter who also worked for the city I worked for.

johnsbrewhouse I have done a lot of free plowing for older folks, I have no issue at all. I had one customer, younger couple, late 20s, early 30’s wouldn’t even come out and move their vehicles so I could clean and open things. They expected me to come back when they were ready to go out and about to return and finish. Didn’t happen.

kyle Same here and I am approximately due east of you. If I can I will wait until the snow stops, unless it is going to be a big dump or heavy wet stuff. You as well stay safe putting snow in it’s place.

YooperDog We have some like that, I had a guy call yesterday wanting his driveway done because he was having a party. I was out plowing last night and saw it was his kids visiting, they are adults almost my age and their kids. Glad I told him no I had already put things away from the morning.

calldoctoday It’s warm here now 70 degrees upstairs since the wife has the pellet stove going full blast in the basement. I was out all day, came in then the granddaughter came over to sled down the hill, out again for a bit and now warmed up and looking at my lovely snow covered hill driveway that was clean only hours ago. I worry with it mid-day tomorrow when the sun come back, 24 degrees outside right now. Thanks though for the warm thoughts it makes us all feel good with our friends looking out for us.

johnsbrewhouse Oh I miss my wood burning stoves, well, except for when we are having weather here like now. I have heard those pellet stoves are pretty good too. Time for some R&R now.

Prime rib cooked on Treager at 275 until 118, pulled and rested under foil for 30 minutes, temp came up to 126 with carryover cooking, then back on the pit on high for 10 minutes. Always remember to account for carryover cooking.

Reindeer bait. Chex, pretzels, M&Ms, mini marshmallows, and a bunch of white and milk chocolate.

Candied cranberries. Doesn’t have the sugary sparkle like the recipe I followed but they taste pretty darn good.

Simmered down some onions with olive oil, oleo and some seasonings. Dropped a chunk of ribeye on top. Let steam a bit and… Oh yeah, 😊.
