Testing a recipe or two in anticipation of thanksgiving leftovers. Here is a turkey, bacon, avocado, and pear panini with provolone. The provolone oozed over after I sliced it, it is blocking all the layers fortunately/unfortunately.

The garden is staring to give up now, so I took advantage of some of the plants that are hanging on. I fried green tomatoes, okra, and egg plant with grilled pork chops on lump charcoal. The chops were dry rubbed with SPG, brown sugar and a touch of Chipotle powder. I also used a little mayo with mashed garlic to finish. We dined on our patio and enjoyed another great fall day. Great day to be alive.

craigrice we are not quite there on those temps yet, but were not far behind. I was 70 today. This evening it chilled down a bit and the wife had to put on a jacket, but she loves being outside more than I do.

craigrice Sounds like we have except now the rain is coming. It got me once today while I was out picking up walnuts and it began to blow and downpour. Looks like we have colder and wetter weather coming in for the next week, more snow for the mountains.
