calldoctoday Cherry Bourbon Smoked Ham I Resized.jpg Had a ham of a time in the refer that needed attending too. So, made up a cherry, bourbon injection & smoked with cherry wood & bourbon barrel staves. Sprayed with a cherry/Cherry Cranberry/Cider Vinegar spray for moisture. Then made up a cherry, bourbon (Old Forrester 101) glaze, with real good cherry juice, fresh cherries, dried cherries, brown sugar, & mustard. You get to have your desert & eat it too!

20210613_173127.jpg Chicken made with |JP-S-Custom-Chicken-Scratch-Fini and then smoked with my camp chef woodwind. We then topped it with fresh salsa from Allison. Before you laugh, some of the “fresh” stuff from Aldis is absolutely delicious and their salsa is my 2nd favorite salsa.

Looks great! Agree with the Aldi’s comment. They definitely have a few hidden gems. The salsa is great. I also like the Buffalo cauliflower dip and the wife likes the chocolate hummus. Hear they have a good sauerkraut but haven’t tried it yet.

Surg Thank you. Well, what really matters is how it tastes & I will have to tell you, it was good. I was basically just making up stuff as I went along & I was surprised at how well the flavors went together. I had been thinking about it for a while though.
