Finally had a few spare minutes to cook Sarah a nice meal. Ribeye steak on the charcoal grill with fresh grilled asparagus just picked out of the garden.

GWG8541 thank you and yes she did. She worked for the school district and today was the last day of school. She got promoted at her other job so shes not going back to the school. It was kinda a big day for her
kyle If she’s happy. You have to be over the moon.

ELK TACO NIGHT

lkrfletcher Taco Tuesday! I had them for lunch! But man o man yours would have been to die for! Mine were Taco Johns.
-
Denny O Those look amazing man, you’ve been busy, or been holding out on pics! lkrfletcher I am currently on track to attempt my first Elk Hunt in 2023 in Colorado!
Jonathon Of course the kraut and the corned beef started weeks ago, the wings, pizza and slicing the corned beef was this week. Bacon was very recent, still waiting on the Berkshire and I will add my Durock to finish out the 5 hangers that I have.
Jon, What should I add, how and how much to the new batch of bacon to aid in the flavor?
Remember I do a wet brine of 11 cup K salt, 1 cup Dark Brown sugar, 1 cup white sugar 1 heaping tablespoon cure #1 to 1 gallon of water. I make a double batch in a 5 gallon bucket and put a lid on it in the fridge for 2 weeks.
You my friend know my product and are the most knowledgeable with Waltons products. How may Waltons be an aid to my bacon?

scottfletcher I also had pizza last night but only from the oven. I’ve been going to try it on a stone in my GMG. Did you use a stone or cook it on the grates.

wdaly On a stone. I have tried it on the grate but it will burn deep grate marks. The stone is perfect, you have to preheat it for awhile.

Dry Rub Chicken thighs in the air fryer last night. I whipped together a Quinoa salad as a side. Yum!

(Cooked this last night) Yesterday Jonathon gave me a steak to take home and I figured what a perfect time to try a reverse sear. This was my first time trying this method and it turned out pretty well! I ended up using the Bold and Spicy Kansas City Style, Rump Rub and it was really good.
