Put the smoker to work last night. I put a small brisket on about midnight. I wrapped it before going to work and let it continue on low and slow. When I got home I cut up some of the point and turned it into burnt ends with my homemade Q sauce. The salad had my first garden cucumber of this year on it and man was it good.

        Anyone have them?

Denny O My bud has that make/model and really likes them (about 6 months). But, are not good at high heat. As long as you keep it medium and below, nothing will stick. Food will start to caramelize and stick at high heat. Clean up is easy.

gus4416 I’m ready for my first tomato. They are on the vine. I always put out an Early Girl, or other early producer. My biggest early girl is loaded with green maters right now.

GWG8541 Some good looking food there. Cucumbers already, heck ours are just coming up here. It only got to 58 degrees here today. My garden is all in except for some small vacancies that might get filled in here shortly. I have another yard rat too, he might meet his fate tonight in the trap.

Part of my meal tonight, I ate the rest before I remembered I forgot the pic. Oh well, we had smoked top round roast, seasoned with just salt, pepper, garlic and onion powder. Maple glazed sliced carrots and baked Yukon Gold potatoes. IMG_0415.JPG IMG_0416.JPG

I haven’t done this in awhile and the wife requested my smoked glazed salmon. It’s marinated in my homemade concoction for 20 to 30 minutes. Smoked on the pellet grill about 45 minutes then turned up to 350 about another 20 minutes. Then I mix honey with Jack Daniels for a glaze and brush the top of each piece and let that set another 10 minutes in the grill. A chopped salad and some homemade sourdough garlic and herb bread made a tasty summer meal.

Surg I have a recipe from my Grandmother, Danish meatballs. I make them occasionally with mashed potatoes.

And for dessert, Meat Candy aka Burnt Ends.

GWG8541 Very nice, perfect smoke ring. I like that mac & cheese, but like those burnt ends even more!
