kyle Very nice bird! Our season just ended and numbers were way down. I saw a few jakes but passed on them. First time in twenty years I didnt fill a tag. I still enjoyed every minute of it though. Something about the spring woods!

YooperDog we stayed at our deer shack for Turkey season. Had the wood stove going 3 of the 4 days we were there. Pretty sad for the end of may. Hope you get your gobbler

Dave in AZ we make Turkey jerky out of our birds. In my opinion, it’s the best way to use the meat

Went out to the Chandeluer Islands this past weekend for 2 days of fishing. It was an epic of an adventure as everyone says it is. As a boat of 9 we brought home 212 trout, 7 red fish, 4 black drum and 4 flounder. I also caught my biggest red fish to date. These pics are from the Saturday evening fish, needless to say us 4 were in the X!

gus4416 Honestly we weren’t really in big water, the deepest I remember seeing it get was 20 or so feet. In the mornings the wind was blowing pretty good but the swells weren’t more than 2’. But it was enough to wake you up from hearing the water slap the side of the mother ship we were sleeping on.

That looks like a BLAST! Good times & Gooder Memories. I have not been to the Chandeluers or Grand Isle in ages, makes me start getting heartsick for another trip. Glad you had a great trip. You should have topped it all off with a trip to the Lumps & then you would have had a double grand slam.

I’d rather be sit’in in a boat and thinking about God,
Than sit’n in church and thinking about fish’in!

HerbcoFood STRONG jealousy from me on this post. I’d love to move Kansas to either a coast or nearer to mountains but then it probably wouldn’t have all the people I love!
