Drink of Choice

I like wheat beers. Have been thinking I need to make a Wit one of these days.
processhead it was pretty good, but the Porter was really tasty.
My son works at a historical brewery and they just did a Weizenbock for the Lenten season. I think I will be taking a growler down and bringing some home. They are also working on a red ale for St. Paddy’s day. The brewing is done the old fashioned way and so visitors can watch the process. It is the nations only production brewery inside a historical park. It is located in Carillon Historical park and the park Director has really done a good job of keeping the historical aspects of the 1850’s beer production. I have attached a link to the brewery’s site if you interested at taking a look.

That is so cool. I love the historical aspects of the brewery and restaurant. The period outfits are great. -
Some home brews today. The light one is a creation my son made, which ended up tasting similar to a Witbier. The second one was a Porter which was nice and stout.

The Porter was definitely my favorite.GWG8541 Would love to try your offerings. Congrats to you.

zbigjeff hey, its only about a three hour drive. If your ever in town, it’s a cool place to visit.

My youngest came back from college and is working at the brewery. Not exactly his degree field, but he loves working there. -

GWG8541 Have put it on the “travel locations”. Have to fit it in between a 2 week in Houston, Arkansas and Oklahoma at the end of March and a couple weddings in April and May. The methods i viewed via your link are interesting at minimum.

Surg I agree, definitely a quality pour
-
Surg Definitely one the best I’ve had. I love the bottle and I use my favorite bourbon bottles as my vinegar bottles. Enjoy. A very good pour.
-
Surg nice. Im sipping on an old fashioned tonight for a night cap. That Angel’s Envy would be a nice pour tonight.
-
Surg Always have the port wine barrel AE on hand. It’s very good. But, if you can find, try the AE finished in Rum Casks. It’s around $80-100. But, totally worth the spend.

Bob Stehlik that’s a great idea.

zbigjeff will have to keep an eye out for that one.

Surg Hey, it’s almost time to sit and sip outside in your comfy chair and enjoy your surroundings. Enjoy your stash while thinking about making your next meals.

Picked up a few new bottles over spring break, and one Bloody Mary Mix I’ve been wanting to try.

Tex_77 Darn, you keep coming out of the woodwork with new entries (3out of 4). Keep those taste buds a dancing.
