That is so cool. I love the historical aspects of the brewery and restaurant. The period outfits are great.

processhead my oldest son worked at the Park during high school and college. He was and education assistant and a blacksmith and is now a Firefighter Paramedic.
My youngest came back from college and is working at the brewery. Not exactly his degree field, but he loves working there.

processhead it was pretty good, but the Porter was really tasty.
My son works at a historical brewery and they just did a Weizenbock for the Lenten season. I think I will be taking a growler down and bringing some home. They are also working on a red ale for St. Paddy’s day. The brewing is done the old fashioned way and so visitors can watch the process. It is the nations only production brewery inside a historical park. It is located in Carillon Historical park and the park Director has really done a good job of keeping the historical aspects of the 1850’s beer production. I have attached a link to the brewery’s site if you interested at taking a look.

GWG8541 Have put it on the “travel locations”. Have to fit it in between a 2 week in Houston, Arkansas and Oklahoma at the end of March and a couple weddings in April and May. The methods i viewed via your link are interesting at minimum.

Surg Always have the port wine barrel AE on hand. It’s very good. But, if you can find, try the AE finished in Rum Casks. It’s around $80-100. But, totally worth the spend.

Tex_77 The Russell’s 10 year is pretty darn good. I have had another of the William & Green, but I can’t remember why it wasn’t for me.

Best Maid makes some good pickles, how bad can it be if you can actually see seasonings floating around.

Picked up a few new bottles over spring break, and one Bloody Mary Mix I’ve been wanting to try.
