Dr_Pain Sounds like you’re healing well. I know you’ve probably been told a thousand times, but “baby steps”. We’re still praying for you.

Thanks for the continued prayers. Yea, I have been told and keep reminding myself daily that it will be a long process

Sheesh! I need to get back to cooking so I can compete with you guys. That is some good looking product

Doc, you just take care of you first! Take your meds now so you can make your meals later!!

Getting better everyday. I made a dish last night (from my childhood) that I will share soon. It is a simple all in one and cooked in the microwave. Simple enough and TASTY!!!

I’d rather be sit’in in a boat and thinking about God,
Than sit’n in church and thinking about fish’in!

I agree intellectually but emotionally I need to feel like I am productive. I am learning every day to take it easy and unfortunately some days I learn the hard way

Speaking of dishes…. Anyone have any interest to a French Canadian dish called Creton. I made some the other day and thought you guys would enjoy. It is so easy and actually cooked isn’t he microwave ROFL!!! (Traditionally it is cooked on the stove top but the microwave version is so much easier)

Dr_Pain Creton reminds me of potted meat, sort of.

I actually posted the recipe. Hard to describe the taste and texture but I have always referred to it as poor man patee. It definitely has more texture. YooperDog mentioned it is a little bit like potted meat but less strong in flavor and a lot more textured
