Vanilla bean ice cream with the new blackberry pepper rub is actually really really good!

Jonathon Sounds very interesting, should add lots of depth with the pepper and blackberry, plus a bit of salt to perk up the flavor.

I actually use cracked pink peppercorn on several deserts I make. Black tellicherry peppercorn are very floral so I could see it also. Thanks for sharing my brother

johnsbrewhouse I was actually concerned about the pepper but it is hardly noticeable in the Ice Cream and yes the salt in it perks it up a bit. Dr_Pain I started using pink peppercorn recently. I like it, but I can’t identi]fy what the difference in the taste really is. Got any descriptions? HerbcoFood Honestly just 2 all day yesterday, my wife got called into work so I decided to surprise her with a cleaned house when she got home, that, the Notre Dame game (just keeping an eye, not really watching) and taking care of the dogs kept me pretty busy! YooperDog it was actually one of the first things I thought of as soon as I smelled the seasoning, I loved blackberry icecream and that’s what it smells like!

This evening I am going to try the Blackpepper Rub, the Taste of Havana and the Aloha Rub on some grilled shrimp. I am thinking the Aloha is going to be the best, followed by the Havana but I will let everyone know!

this is interesting salt makes sense as you add it to deserts and breads to bring out the sweetness the pepper would give it a little bite and /or flavor to the blackberry

Is Sweet Havana now going to be your go to for shrimp?

glen I will probably bounce back and forth between the |Chipotle-Lime-Sweet-Rub the Guacho from Spiceology and the Havana but honestly probably mostly the Havana, it has an unexpected heat that works well with shrimp and I assume other shellfish

I bought a bushel of live blue crabs and a bushel of oysters right from the boat of the fisherman in Virginia a couple of weeks ago. They don’t get any fresher! The sad part is the fisherman gets paid very little and does all the work . He sold them to me at market price of $75 for the bushel of crabs and $50 for the oysters. I gave him an extra $25 and we both were happy!

Right off the boat is a 100x better than anything you have ever tasted. No iodine or bleach taste. You can taste the ocean. They cook better and snap like a brand new snack stick when you bite them. Nothing beats them.

The sweet Havana was the best followed by aloha and the blackberry pepper rub shouldn’t be used with shrimp…now we know

I am betting that the blackberry pepper would go pretty well with wild game
