Okay guys, this is the one where you need to post any updated guesses for the competition on how many users we will have on 12/31/2021. Guesses on The Contest Post will only count if you do NOT post on this one. So, if you want to update your guess just post on this thread. Make sense? No? Good!

Also, we want to know how many steaks a week people eat. Am I the weird one for eating it 2-3 times a week?

I eat less than 1 steak/week. Probably 1.5/month on average.

We eat our share of meat, mostly pork & chicken, but actual beef steaks? about once every 2-3 weeks

We don’t eat steak all that often, maybe once every couple months. Particularly with beef prices where they are now.

We eat steak maybe once a month, pretty heavy on the chicken, pork and venison. Then also throw in fish a few times a month as well.

Also we all know why people are quitting their jobs and why people won’t go back to work. I like how this forum stays to meats, cooking apparatuses and food p0rn. That is as deep as I will get for this response.

We eat on average 30 steaks a year.

On a separate topic, in 1849 the miners in California would lower the dynamite tech down the shaft in a hand basket. If they didn’t get him pulled up fast enough, he went to “hell in a hand basket”.

We used to have steak about once a week, not so much any more now that rib eye primals are over $14 lb. I have about thirty pounds of steaks vacuum sealed in the freezer for lean times.

We usually have a steak (rib eye) 2-3 times a month. Beef on the other hand 2-3 times a week as burgers, roasts or in other meals.

This is the same guess that is on the Contest thread. I will throw out 19, 171 users by 12/31/21.

As far as steak or large cuts of beef. I have three kids and they all like steak so we can only do it about twice a month. Beef roasts about another two times a month. Maybe more in the winter months. Burger is a different story. We use burger at a minimum of once or twice a week.

For a different brat, have you guys ever made a jalapeño popper brat. Cream cheese, pre-cooked bacon, and jalapeños mixed in with a seasoning that would pair well. The only potential issue is the melting of the cream cheese. But, I see lots of people doing the smoked cream cheese thing and it holds up pretty well to smoking at 250 degrees for a few hours.
