Surg Will be looking for that as a try. Like bourbons, ports are regional depending on the state. I’ve stayed with mostly the Ware’s line due to consistency. But, have tried others. Thanks for the nod.
I checked with my local liquor store after we got home. He had few varieties and is going to look and see if he can get the Grahams 10 yo Tawny that I fell in love with.
processhead Your trip was totally enviable. Glad you had a chance to try Port at its source.

GWG8541 Yeah, I am not a huge fan of JD black label, after visiting their distillery and taking a whiff of the charcoal while the hooch filtered through it really messed me up. Which is perfectly fine, so many better whiskeys out there these days.
HerbcoFood whiskey, like sausage, is a matter of personal taste. There are not to many bourbons, Tennessee, or Irish whiskeys I do not like. I’m just not a fan of high rye whiskeys. The filtering process never bothered me, but the sour mash being cooked was a little overwhelming to me.

Something new from Fred Noe and the Beam family.

Says it’s partially finished in wine and sherry casks. I’m no connoisseur but can definitely pick up some wine notes. Slight bite on the back end. Nice pour.

Good Lord, just realized I critiqued a bourbon.

Where’s my MGD.

PapaSop Just introduced that Beam and Japanese project to a small group 2 weekends ago along with 5 other brands. Well, thinking they liked it as the bottle is gone. Enjoy yours.

PapaSop that is some great stuff. Don’t think the bottle I got had the gray label but sounds like the same finishing barrels. And the price is reasonable. Enjoy!

Didn’t realize it was a combined effort until after the fact. Very good. -

Yep, grabbed this for $39. Probably a bit less up the road but I was good with it. -
PapaSop Another interesting fact is that the best barrels of liquor in the USA are sent to Japan and abroad because they pay the most for them. Which means the USA gets to distribute the second level here.

PapaSop you did a great job with that critique. You may want to consider your own YouTube channel. I’d subscribe
