I made ‘potsticker’ brats this morning…all the goods you might find in a potsticker stuffed into a casing.

I used pork, cabbage, green onion, red onion, carrots, ginger, garlic, crushed red pepper, sesame sees, mushroom soy sauce and Chinese five spice.

I ran the pork through the grinder once before adding all of the produce and dry ingredients and running a second time followed by an addition of water and soy.

The mix works well as stand alone brat or removed from the casing and used as a pot sticker filling.

Joe Hell That looks great. I really like pot stickers. I’ll add that one to things to try. Thanks for listing the ingredients.

lkrfletcher we both have lost 10lbs. Yesterday was cheat day, a slice of pizza. Back to the meal plan today for another 30 days. It is going to be challenging with a lot birthday’s, traveling, company and July 4th festivities. Putting together a plan of action/meals to get through it all. It is going to be busy.

PapaSop Thank you! I only made about 90 sausages in total to gauge their interest. By the time I returned to the shop three hours later we were sold out. I’m going to make a larger batch tomorrow. Lol

Jonesy yes it helps and since there is only the two of us at home now meal planning is a little simpler.

Did you put your veggies in fresh or did you have to saute them or something?

The smoked coffee experiment two didn’t work out either. Little to no smoke flavor in the coffee. I can barely pick it out, coffee is such an assertive flavor it easily overpowers the smoke since it is roasted as well. The next experiment with smoking coffee may be roasting the coffee on the smoker. It will require a whole lot more attention for that process as anyone who roasts their own coffee knows. I use a fluid bed roaster here at home, so it’s basically pour the coffee in the roaster, set what roasting time I want and push the button and just keep an on it it near the end for my color. Open roasting over a heat source is a whole lot different story, got to keep things moving, listen to the product and watch for the color, then move it off the heat and cool as fast as possible when done.

lkrfletcher we both have lost 10lbs. Yesterday was cheat day, a slice of pizza. Back to the meal plan today for another 30 days. It is going to be challenging with a lot birthday’s, traveling, company and July 4th festivities. Putting together a plan of action/meals to get through it all. It is going to be busy.

YooperDog not sure if you have a papa Murphy’s near you but they offer a keto pizza. Basically just doesn’t have the crust. I also have an Italian restaurant in town that has keto pizza that has a cauliflower crust. It’s very good
