GWG8541 Chef Visited the 2 liquor stores in my area today on “delivery day” and no 107. The manager said to check back weekly because he doesn’t even know when they’re coming in. Special reserve (2 different sizes) were abundant. Fingers crossed for next week.

zbigjeff thats basically what my guy has been saying. The rumor mill is the Antique will not be made in the big bottle anymore, so I’m hanging on to that for a while with my collection of trade fodder.

Jonathon s request, please list your drink of choice. I’ll start, I love bourbon and Coors Light or a good old Coors yellow belly. My bourbons of choice are Elijah Craig, Bulliet, Maker’s Mark, Jim Beam Black and W.L. Wellers. Now if I just want to pound down some drinks a good 7&7 can’t be beat.

Tex_77 20210524_180622.jpg My wife was the subject of a surprise retirement party given by her co-workers…these were a few of the gifts. I will, no doubt, help rid the cupboard of these pesky critters. It’s gonna be a good summer running the smoker.

Jonesy That’s a very nice start. All that pressure when deciding which one to open first. Have her take deep breaths and slow. It’ll be OK. But, I will tell both of you that the first sip is a wonderful start.

FYI I talked to Pat from https://shakenorstirredbartending.com/ and we are going to have him on the podcast soon(ish) we are going to talk about some pairing and some good entry level bourbons. Anything anyone want us to specifically talk about?

Jonathon Re Bourbon Topic for “Pat”: Since so many do not understand the different types of bourbon, it would be nice for him to respond to the different types and their characteristics: Wheated, Low and High Rye, Others. It would be an educational moment for many.

Jonathon And if you want to ramp it up a bit, let’s see what he thinks of bourbons “finished” in port, rum and wine casks. Lately, those are my current favs. Just another idea.
