gChart I have yet to find any morel’s this year, hopefully a little bit warmer weather and they will begin to pop up more. I chipped a piece today, all I heard that’s okay, I know where I can buy more.😟

Oh boy was I a slacker today looking at everyone’s cooking. Man good looking chicken, haven’t you heard that there is a chicken shortage, should be saving those birds for the apocalypse☺

Today I kept it a bit simple. With all the bourbon talk yesterday it got me thinking. Stuffed mushrooms, venison back straps in a bourbon maple syrup butter sauce and a green salad with bourbon maple syrup glazed pecans and bacon bits with a bourbon maple syrup dressing. Tex_77 I am going to have to try some of those chicken seasonings. I am going to sit back and enjoy a little Makers. Congratulations to all!!!

GWG8541 It was my excuse to break out the bourbon early. Did some prep yesterday. Couldn’t drink and start cooking until we got back from our motorcycle ride. Then it was just assemble, cook, serve and sip😌

For Mother’s Day my wife requested French Toast and bacon. Both of our adult sons made it in this weekend, so I added some Walton’s southern style sausage and made gravy and biscuits. Great start to Mother’s day for my lovely wife. It was a two plate breakfast. Bacon and sausage make everything better. 20210509_100854.jpg 20210509_100812.jpg 20210509_094141.jpg

Fried chicken, mashed potatoes, homemade gravy and corn for Mother’s Day lunch. I used Chicken on the Run Breading and thier marinade. I also add some of Excalibur’s Nashville Hot Chicken seasoning to a few of the pieces and it was really good!

6 spatchcocked Cornish game hens and cheesy scalloped taters is what my wife wanted for Mother’s Day supper. Only got a pic of the game hens.

GWG8541 That fish looked awesome! Tex_77 I was wondering how the Nashville Hot would mesh with he chicken on the run. I know it works great with the Chipotle Lime Sweet Rub and the Authentic Buffalo but hadn’t gotten around to trying that yet! I am going to try some shrimp with chicken on the run this evening so I will let you know how Chicken on works with the Nashville Hot with Shrimp

YooperDog It’s all about priorities. You have them in the correct location. Glad you could get out and ride. We had 39 and snow/rain alllllllll day. We should be 70. Must be global warming.

zbigjeff One of my clients must be up near you. They indicated just about the exact same on Saturday. Amazing, & it was approaching 80 & the humidity is on the rise. All you all can’t be that far away!
