What did everyone cook today?

That looks great Tex_77, a true classic
Fried up some morels as an appetizer. Used cracker crumbs and butter. Can’t be beat!
Then fixed up some pork chops on the pellet grill and sweet potatoes. Used the Mrs’s new polish pottery pieces to serve (I add a piece or two to the collection every Mother’s Day).
-
Fried chicken, mashed potatoes, homemade gravy and corn for Mother’s Day lunch. I used Chicken on the Run Breading and thier marinade. I also add some of Excalibur’s Nashville Hot Chicken seasoning to a few of the pieces and it was really good!

Tex_77 wow! That looks like a Sunday dinner at home to me if I have ever seen one!!!
-
A little smoked prime rib for my wife, mother, and brother.
wdaly That looks prime! You are making me Hongry.
-
6 spatchcocked Cornish game hens and cheesy scalloped taters is what my wife wanted for Mother’s Day supper. Only got a pic of the game hens.

Tex_77 I’m stuffed from eating to much today and that still makes me hungry for fried chicken.

gChart I have yet to find any morel’s this year, hopefully a little bit warmer weather and they will begin to pop up more. I chipped a piece today, all I heard that’s okay, I know where I can buy more.

wdaly Awesome looking Prime Rib.

GWG8541 That pattern was not my mother’s, but it is a beautiful pattern. We also use ours for everyday.
I do have my mother’s china. It was from Japan, just after the war. I gave my daughter her choice of the two when she got married 3 years ago. She chose my mother’s She loves to entertain in her college style apartment, tight fit, but she always breaks out the china and sends me a picture. I think she uses it more than my mother did. Similar to you, my dad taught me to rebuild an engine, my mom taught me how to place love in every meal I cook.
Happy Mother’s Day to all the moms out there.
Chef we are blessed indeed

Oh boy was I a slacker today looking at everyone’s cooking. Man good looking chicken, haven’t you heard that there is a chicken shortage, should be saving those birds for the apocalypse

Today I kept it a bit simple. With all the bourbon talk yesterday it got me thinking. Stuffed mushrooms, venison back straps in a bourbon maple syrup butter sauce and a green salad with bourbon maple syrup glazed pecans and bacon bits with a bourbon maple syrup dressing. Tex_77 I am going to have to try some of those chicken seasonings. I am going to sit back and enjoy a little Makers. Congratulations to all!!!

GWG8541 It was my excuse to break out the bourbon early. Did some prep yesterday. Couldn’t drink and start cooking until we got back from our motorcycle ride. Then it was just assemble, cook, serve and sip

-
GWG8541 Count me in. I’ll bring my own plate

YooperDog It’s all about priorities. You have them in the correct location. Glad you could get out and ride. We had 39 and snow/rain alllllllll day. We should be 70. Must be global warming.

wdaly That’s a very nice piece of rendered goodness. Yay for your family.

For Mother’s Day my wife requested French Toast and bacon. Both of our adult sons made it in this weekend, so I added some Walton’s southern style sausage and made gravy and biscuits. Great start to Mother’s day for my lovely wife. It was a two plate breakfast. Bacon and sausage make everything better.

GWG8541 - That looks so good. Cant wait til my seasonings come in.
