Nice, to this day I still think Applebee’s has the best Long Islands, and I hate that place.

Tex_77 I’d agree…that place is terrible in general but I’ve had some good drinks there. I don’t necessarily enjoy dining out so COVID has made that easy. Not drinking at the bar has afforded me better selections at home as well. The glass is half full!

zbigjeff I generally have my spirits neat so I felt a little guilty mixing those up.

Joe Hell Hey, mixing it up is very good in my world as it pertains to good drink and eats. The taste buds need some “testing” to keep them fresh. It’s just like what many of you do in the sausage world. It either keeps your family or clients coming back for “what the heck are they making today?” Keep up that variety.

Jonathon and Parksider you guys will appreciate this, if I am drinking beer its usually Labatt blue, or since jon got me on the kick, I’ve REALLY enjoyed these sours! If you have any recommendations for western NY area, please let me know what to try for sours! But if its a liquor day jack has always been my friend, mostly mixed with a 50/50 split with coke… mmmm making me thirsty!

P.s I’m usually a cider guy too, I dabble in creating my own ciders and wines, soon to make some meads from raw honey from a guy at work… but nothing beats homemade anything because you know where everything came from that went into it! And the pride alone!

Tex_77 That’s all my one bud will drink. Period. I’m more of a craft beer person. I don’t drink beer a whole lot. But, do enjoy it with a nice pour (usually bourbon. But, not stuck on that only)

Joe Hell Coffee is not for everyone. In my world, I treat it as a delicacy and have around 2 cups in the morning to ease into the day. I roast 50% of my intake and try different beans from around the world. This week it’s Tanzanian Peaberry (dark roast) and Ethiopian Yirgacheffe (medium roast). Like different culinary foods, each has their “certain” qualities. Then, I move to a Lake Erie highball (aka: water) and then either wine, beer or bourbon OR… in the late-afternoon/evening while designing what’s for dinner. Hoping you have a good rest of your day.
