Joe Hell I’ll take a porterhouse steak any day of the week. My #1 cut for steak.

First time in a long time I cooked up just one St. Louis rack of ribs. Normally cooking 3-4 racks at a time, no company for a week. Even grilled up some corn.

I think I am going to talk with my butcher about getting some beef ribs, it’s been awhile since I had some of those.

drbrown35801 You have to go down and click on “reply,” rather than use the “quick reply.” You also have to make sure that the pic is under a certain size (I don’t remember what that is). If it’s too large, just use a photo editor to resize.

Knocked out some steaks the other night on the Weber Summitt Kettle with the grill grates. I think i use the back more than the front of them! BUT…while the grill was burning out a storm rolled up hard and fast, don’t like to leave my baby outside but thought oh well it’s only rain. THEN i remebered that my Grill Eye Pro was sitting out… doh…now I have the black screen of death… turns on and send signal to my phone but nothing on the readout… that sucks!!! I loved that thing!!!

Anyone using the Meater wireless probes? Could be my next purchase, sounds cool, they look thick like a pencil. Not sure how they’d do on ribs.

Parksider We loved our GrillEye too until they either updated something or something broke with ours and we were never able to get it to connect remotely again. As far as the matter I have been really happy with it but it is almost necessary to have an extra smart device like a tablet. It connects from the probe to the base for a short distance (i think it says 50’ but its not) then if you put a smart device within 100’ of that you can go literally anywhere, I have gone home on numerous occasions and continued to monitor my cook.

The graph on the Meater Plus is also really well done and easy to read. It also factors in dwell time in telling you take something out of the smoker/oven and setting up cooks is really simple. All in all the biggest draw back is that it is1 probe to 1 base, so you ar limited there. Now, they sell others with multiple probes but we don’t carry them.
