PapaSop held off johnsbrewhouse’s bacon with three and a half votes for the weekly title. Tex_77 had two votes.             JohnG5 Thanks, I know all this has to be some extra work for you. I think the real winners here are our friends and family, since they get to actually taste and benefit from the cooking. I look at what everyone prepares on this site and think how awesome and fun it is to be a part of it. This little competition has probably caused everyone to step up their game and expand their comfort zone when cooking. I literally tripped across Walton’s site and Meatgistics about a year ago trying to make my venison sausage processing better. Who knew what started out as looking for some summer sausage seasoning, would end up finding as PapaSop says " a community".

                  GWG8541 well said. My experience is very similar. I was just looking for a couple of quality boning knives like a butcher friend of mine used. And now it’s one of my favorite places to be.
