The Posts of the Week Recipes goes to GWG8541 (for his Gochujang with Japchae, Noodles, and Vegetables) and processhead (for his Grilled Tenderloin Kabobs) with a total of 3 votes a piece, edging out RafterW with two votes and calldoctoday and Tex_77 with one vote a piece. Congratulations for being the back-to-back Post of the Week winner GWG8541, even though it is a shared title!!! Congratulations processhead for your first Post of the Week Recipe title!!!


The inaugural Post of the Week Meat Processing winner goes to Meatgistics legend PapaSop with his first attempt at bacon post that received four and a half votes. PapaSop held off johnsbrewhouse’s bacon with three and a half votes for the weekly title. Tex_77 had two votes. Congratulations to PapaSop for being the first ever Post of the Week Meat Processing winner!!!

I look at what everyone prepares on this site and think how awesome and fun it is to be a part of it. This little competition has probably caused everyone to step up their game and expand their comfort zone when cooking. I literally tripped across Walton’s site and Meatgistics about a year ago trying to make my venison sausage processing better. Who knew what started out as looking for some summer sausage seasoning, would end up finding as PapaSop says " a community".

GWG8541 well said. My experience is very similar. I was just looking for a couple of quality boning knives like a butcher friend of mine used. And now it’s one of my favorite places to be.
