Completely normal suburbia life.

Nice to see someone else getting creative on how to suspend links. Had to buy these just for sausage!

Jamieson22 those would just to tempting for our dog. Those would need to be in a secured location or hung at least 5’ up. Nice set up.

Oh trust me, I had to chase a particular Corgi away from them while I was getting everything ready. As we have 3 dogs, I basically only use this to help load up before loading the smoker.

Okay so here are some pics of the two day marathon. My brother was happy to get his Romanian sausage and our dog was waiting for him to make one mistake. Our son and his wife came over so I could work the smoker. It was too cold to bring out the non insulated smoker, new project is on the list. I prefer to hang most meat/sausage then put it on a grate. Another project.

YooperDog That is some great looking team-work & great looking product. I love the part most about “come on Daddy, drop one, please drop one, just one”

Yes sir. It was so cold it wouldn’t start. I had to run a heat gun inside until it warmed up. It was the daughter in-law first experience, our son has helped out as he grew up. My brother and I grew up learning and doing as part of the family production.

They all got fed, entertained, got a portion of the products produced, free beer and access to the liquor barn. Memories and stories are always a bonus. The only thing we didn’t have time for was to sit back, have a sip or two and burn a cigar. Just ran out of time.

YooperDog thats looking mighty fine. I hope that pup got a little stack. He looks like it would have been real easy to jump up and grab one. Great crew there also. Good times.

YooperDog I’ve heard of liquor cabinets, but never a barn, you must have quite the cache!
-
Tex_77 yeah I only have a liquor shelf. I would love a barn full.
-
Tex_77 it’s like stopping in at Bucc ees. We will stop in at least one when traveling through the area. Last year I think we hit every Bucc ees in the State of TX as we meandered around the State. She has her favorites.

In my previous life I started collecting from the different countries I visited and lived in. But ever since I have been on this site I realized how far that I have fallen behind on some US products.
Some of the stuff brings back some good memories of times gone by and can’t be bought in the States. So I must again make a run to TN, KY,… You would be surprised how much you can carry on a motorcycle when it is packed correctly.
The dog is only 8 months old and she can get into mischief pretty quick when left unmonitored. She is a Spinone and has been having fun kicking up birds .
