Tex_77 I was never much of a bourbon fan but Wellers on the rocks has been my go-to recently and I’m very much enjoying it!

@s-a-m 68’ Buick Skylark…original motor was a 350 2bbl…long story short, it now has a 340 4bbl from a Wildcat from 66’. I got it from my great grandmother nearly 30 years ago. It’s sitting around 98k miles currently. It needs some (much) work but overall it’s been the most reliable vehicle I’ve ever owned!

Joe Hell It is absolutely gorgeous man! Now you need two asian brothers who learned english from howard cossel to race against, a paperboy who stalks your for $2, a new french girlfriend and a rival to beat in a ski race! I know it wasn’t a Skylark in Better Off Dead but the before and after picture reminded me of that!

Jonathon s request, please list your drink of choice. I’ll start, I love bourbon and Coors Light or a good old Coors yellow belly. My bourbons of choice are Elijah Craig, Bulliet, Maker’s Mark, Jim Beam Black and W.L. Wellers. Now if I just want to pound down some drinks a good 7&7 can’t be beat.

Tex_77 Tonight I teamed up with a local cider place to make some cider based brats to sell at Butcher Butcher Walla Walla to help promote both business’ in these trying times. For inspiration I thought I’d make a cocktail using their Hibiscus Cider and a Negroni based drink seemed like the perfect catalyst.

For my recipe I used 2 oz. Aviation Gin, 1 oz. Noilly Prat Rouge Vermouth, 1 oz. Campari, and 4 oz. of the delicious Hibiscus Cider from ‘The Locust’ in downtown Walla Walla. The company has several locations in the western states so product is available. I highly recommend these guys and proceeds go to a worthy cause!

PapaSop I rarely go out to eat but I’ve been trying to get takeout a couple time a week from establishments that are still open. Since I’m just eating for one I’ve made it a point to leave a tip for the exact amount I paid for the food itself. It’s not a lot but anything helps.

Joe Hell We’ve been buying more take out than ever before and bought some gift cards from favorite local places that had them. Now is a good time to spend locally if you can afford it.

Know I tried this sometime back but couldn’t remember the taste. Argh! Part of the aging process? Not bad. Very sippable…
No idea that was an actual word. Spell check kept laughing.

Yes, Beam Black was pretty good & used to have it regularly years ago before I just settled on the Forrester 101 & even 80.

RR Whiskey.jpg Tried this last night on a friend’s recommendation. Not bad, very mild flavor in my opinion. Easy drinking on the rocks.

Right now enjoying a cup of joe watching the snow melt as I contemplating what to make for dinner tonight and a fresh sausage to make this week. I have a few pounds of hatch chiles, maybe a hot link.

Since I was " stimulated" by the IRS today. Thought I’d step out of my normal bourbon budget. Don’t normally go for a drink aged in a wine barrel but… This is very good! Both neat and rocks. Wow!

Give a man a fish and he eats for a day
Teach a man to fish and he drinks beer for a lifetime
