lkrfletcher I always have to laugh when people ask when I smoke cheese: What can you use that in? I just smile and think (narrow minded people).

kyle Is that a Wisconsin thing? I’m from Wisconsin originally and I’ve not heard of that combination, it does sound interesting. However I’ve had many a Polish Martini (beer with a green olive & splash of olive juice in it). I remember a cream cheese spread with either black or green olives that was good. Nothing tops a good Wisconsin relish tray!!
I’ll be back that way for the first 10 days of October. Going to St. Germain & Eagle River. Can’t wait!!

zbigjeff Nothing like a good dinner from the old days. Grilled cheese and tomato soup. Of course the smoked cheese makes it better. zbigjeff Cooler temps are coming better get to smoking up some cheese and be creative!

Enjoy your stay when you come back home. If you venture up by Superior, let me know

johnsbrewhouse I bet you’re going to have several trespassing this year with the public land closed. Good luck and be careful.

cdavis They usually don’t have much to say when they see me carrying my sidearm asking why they are on private property and I explain to them they can’t hunt the timber company property either, since they don’t want them on their land either right now. They want me to have them trespassed, it’s easier just to ask them to leave and explain to them what happens if we have to have a game warden come in. They loose their ability to hunt for a year, that changes minds fast.

zbigjeff Looks like we’ll be lucky this weekend, way to many people in town for their town wide “garage sale”. All the bow hunters have decided to stay away from the area. I haven’t seen any head up the mountain by way of the forest service road which is a good sign and nobody parked in front of the timber company gates next to our property. It’s really kind of warm this weekend and the deer will be at the higher elevations right now.

Bob Stehlik Well you should see some color change, already happening up here. Just down that way last week, lots of tourists, but by then it should have thinned down. Things seemed to be all open, just limited days and hours.

cdavis Our report says only 80 here when we first started early this morning, but about 300% humidity. No, just kidding, I think we took a reading at one time & it was only about 70% on the outside & 50 some odd% on the inside, but feels like 300%. Probably in the upper 80’s low 90’s when we wrapped it up this afternoon. I thought Oklahoma would be low humidity when I was on assignment there a time or two, but I think you had some pretty high humidity of your own surprisingly enough, maybe not this high though.

I started International Bacon Day with a hardy bacon filled breakfast for my lovely wife and ended it with a little more bacon. Dinner was an Elk, bacon with smoked cheese burger. Happy International Bacon Day everyone.

Bob Stehlik fish fry and brandy old fashion. I went into withdrawals when I got assigned to TX from MN. I was living in Superior, WI, grew up in Milwaukee and fish fries were common place, not so much elsewhere. I won’t even go into the blasphemy some places call an old fashion…
