What did everyone cook today?

calldoctoday - the smoked cheese is the bomb
lkrfletcher I always have to laugh when people ask when I smoke cheese: What can you use that in? I just smile and think (narrow minded people).

Here is my keto chili. I forgot to add the finished pictures. Added smoked tilamook cheddar and an egg. Wow!

lkrfletcher the chili looks really good

zbigjeff It’s currently 42 degrees here at 6:30 AM, this is the fifth morning in a row of temps in the low 40’s here. Fall is definitely here, we’ll see how it is up at our place in the foothills today when we get up there for the weekend. It’s a bit higher in elevation, almost 2000 ft. and will have to watch for bow hunters trespassing since it open this weekend and most of the State lands are closed due to fire danger.
johnsbrewhouse I bet you’re going to have several trespassing this year with the public land closed. Good luck and be careful.

zbigjeff We had grilled ham n cheese last night with Alder smoked Monterey Jack on one side, smoke ham slices in the middle, Hatch Green Chiles, and Hickory smoked cheddar on on rye. Along with tomato soup of course.

Bob Stehlik only thing you were missing is green olives on your grilled cheese, one of my favorite quick meals. Now I know what I am having for lunch

Bob Stehlik You are mean spirited. Just finished lunch with my autistic acquaintance and the mouth is salivating AGAIN.

kyle Is that a Wisconsin thing? I’m from Wisconsin originally and I’ve not heard of that combination, it does sound interesting. However I’ve had many a Polish Martini (beer with a green olive & splash of olive juice in it). I remember a cream cheese spread with either black or green olives that was good. Nothing tops a good Wisconsin relish tray!!
I’ll be back that way for the first 10 days of October. Going to St. Germain & Eagle River. Can’t wait!! -

Enjoy your stay when you come back home. If you venture up by Superior, let me know

cdavis They usually don’t have much to say when they see me carrying my sidearm asking why they are on private property and I explain to them they can’t hunt the timber company property either, since they don’t want them on their land either right now. They want me to have them trespassed, it’s easier just to ask them to leave and explain to them what happens if we have to have a game warden come in. They loose their ability to hunt for a year, that changes minds fast.
-
johnsbrewhouse Maybe time for the BB rifle to move them OUT. LOL
zbigjeff Looks like we’ll be lucky this weekend, way to many people in town for their town wide “garage sale”. All the bow hunters have decided to stay away from the area. I haven’t seen any head up the mountain by way of the forest service road which is a good sign and nobody parked in front of the timber company gates next to our property. It’s really kind of warm this weekend and the deer will be at the higher elevations right now.

johnsbrewhouse just be safe. Seems to be more and more crazy people every day.

Just down that way last week, lots of tourists, but by then it should have thinned down. Things seemed to be all open, just limited days and hours.

I cant believe how much the leaves are changing and falling. I planted a couple food plots on Thursday and it just smells like fall. My favorite time of year

kyle it’s 98 here in Oklahoma with heat index of 105. Doesn’t feel much like fall here.

Picked up this ‘little griddle’ on marketplace for 30 bucks. Christening it with some Onion and smash burgers.

cdavis Our report says only 80 here when we first started early this morning, but about 300% humidity. No, just kidding, I think we took a reading at one time & it was only about 70% on the outside & 50 some odd% on the inside, but feels like 300%. Probably in the upper 80’s low 90’s when we wrapped it up this afternoon. I thought Oklahoma would be low humidity when I was on assignment there a time or two, but I think you had some pretty high humidity of your own surprisingly enough, maybe not this high though.
