What did everyone cook today?

JoeB would love to. So you know the difference between a true paczki and the chain store version ha!
jpurol It’s alllll gooooood. The fight begins and everyone wins. Real or fake paczki!
-
My wife is of Polish descent. Kielbasa and pierogis are staples around here. And I never pass up a paczki!

-
Healthy Pig: Pig must have worked out every day at the gym, no drugs or alcohol. “1” long casing for 25lbs Italian sausage. No blowouts no tears.

JoeB Looks like you are getting a lot of practice in linking.

Got a pic today of the Easter Sunday ham.

Well, not exactly ham. Can’t remember the last time we didn’t have ham over the course of two days. Guess everyone wanted to be outside grilling with a beautiful two days we just had. Perhaps a new tradition.

That is the first time I have seen the chicken under the grill. What am I missing here PapaSop?

It’s called a flip flop grill. My brother put the card table there to block the wind. A little breezy yesterday. -

PapaSop that’s pretty cool!
A buddy of mine has a huge homemade version of that in his backyard. It’s about 6x6 feet and made on a cinder block base. The grate is made of rebar with expanded steel (the heavy diamond mesh looking stuff) welded to it. They cook about 25 chicken halves at a time. Fill the bottom with chunk charcoal. Spritz the chicken with cider vinegar + butter mixture and then flip routinely (a two man job). His family used to do chicken in this manner for the whole town.
His wife has been begging him to take it down because it takes up so much space. This would make a great replacement.

PapaSop Here is a friend of mine who does catering and his flip flop grill. It is just one of six that he has had built, all stainless steel. Quite the set-up, the firebox raises and lowers and it breaks down to fit his trailer.

That is serious business

That’s pretty cool. Yep, same idea as the small unit.
