twilliams i have a 28 inch Blackstone in my camper and a 36 inch griddle from Sams club in the garage. I like both and the 36 inch from Sams is as nice as my Blackstone. Can’t go wrong with either. I still use my CI and carbon still skillets, but use the griddle alot more than I thought I would.

twilliams I have the Flat Iron brand from Menards (blackstones were impossible to find when I bought it) It was much cheaper in price, but I have no regrets now. I think it works great

I also have the Flat Iron from Menards. It had some things going for it that Blackstone didn’t at the time. The grease trap is in the front for easy access. It has a lip all the way around between the flat top and the burners so wind isn’t a problem. And the biggest thing for me, the cover is attached with hinges and just lifts up so you don’t have to take it off and find a place to set it when you cook. And it was only $219. As far as use, I don’t know how I lived without it. I love mine.

YooperDog You are old-fashioned, weird thing to request but ok! No just kidding, griddles are great but cast iron on heat can act similarly, though I still sort of wish I had waited and gotten the side griddle for my camp chef.

Check out the brand even embers, they have 5 burners opposed to just 4. They are a little cheaper than the Blackstone as well.

Tex_77 that looks like a nice piece of equipment. The only thing I think I would use the gas grill for is to season cast iron…lol! Well maybe some quick burgers or chicken breasts. I’d miss the charcoal flavor though!

Me too I have a huge cast iron flat top griddle that I can either put on a propane top or over a camp fire, but either way I like it better.

Does anyone know if they make one that hooks up to natural gas? I have it piped to the patio and having to keep bottles of propane is something I am happy I don’t have to do anymore.

I am not aware of any that are natural gas ready out of the box, but there are several natural gas conversion kits available.

twilliams Take a look at the 5-burner Member’s Mark one they have online at Sam’s Club. Is $400 and has integrated covered cart and a lift up hard lid. You will DEF want a hard top for whatever you get as the soft covers to allow water through and it will rust your surface.
