Drink of Choice

I pick up a bottle of the JD bonded and was pleasantly surprised on the smoothness on this one. Its probably one of my favorite Jack pours. It has a sweet caramel flavor on the front end and a hint of rye on the finish. It was a great surprise after a tough day at work.

GWG8541 Well, haven’t seen that one yet in the stores. Guess I’ll have to purchase to test your summation.

zbigjeff we just got it here last week. Keep your eyes open its in Ohio.

I tried the JD Triple Mash tonight and it is good. I’m not a big scotch drinker, but that is what it reminds me of. The malt and rye come forward in this one. I personally like the less expensive regular bonded JD, but there is nothing wrong with this one either. For you malt and rye fans, this would be worth a try.

Margarita kinda day. With Teremana blanco.

Surg I can taste that refreshing look just sitting here on this definitely hot & humid Margarita day. That looks like paradise.
-
Happy National Bourbon Day! Be sure to tip a bottle or two back today!
-
Surg Need to start making these for the next couple days. It’s what we asked for: Warmth!!! But, as normal, people are running for the pools and A/C.

Had a stout in a bar in Minneapolis over the weekend, made with a bourbon barrel, very good. Place is called Surly’s.

bocephus Love stouts and porters. I also visited 3 breweries in the area on Saturday. Those small guys are knocking it outta the park.

bocephus Andy & I have been in South Carolina & Georgia doing building inspections for the past several days. Found a few interesting brews along the way, as usual. More for fun than the absolute best taste, but will have to show a few photos before long. Had names like Damned Yankee, Sunspree, Mr. Stingray, Son of a Peach, etc.

Here are a few we picked up to try out on this run. Nothing yet that knocks my socks off, but interesting never the less.

The cancer returned to our cat & he died today with too much fluid on his lungs. He fought hard, but just could not take it anymore. I may have to have three more! I am not sure we are going to take on any more animals now though, as it seems for about the last 20-25 years we have lost most all of them to cancer, that I used to rarely see in animals other than chickens & one bull & now we see it all the time & on ours as well.
-
I’m so sorry. It really hurts to lose a pet, as they aren’t just another animal, they become part of the family.

calldoctoday sorry for the loss of your cat. Way too much cancer in people and animals. I guess we have to be thankful for the time we have with each one. Thoughts and prayers to you
