Gmoran People think I am nuts but I miss the snow, we get some once or twice a year and it about shuts down the town.

bocephus We only get it several times a year, but with my steep driveway and my wife having to possibly have to drive into work (52 miles each way), I have to make sure it’s clear. That plus we need to keep the road clear in the neighborhood along with the gates since we live so far out, people leave for work early. The neighbor and I are retired so we keep the snow plowed and peoples drives cleared, at least those who have hills.

Gmoran your plows are bigger than mine, I have to clear one mile of roadway and my driveway will with my little quad. It has a 52" blade. Used to use my Kubota, but it does not like the hill without chaining it even in 4 wd. The quad also pushes snow a whole lot faster.KIMG0444.JPG KIMG0443.JPG

zbigjeff My playroom, it’s a bit full 40x52, 40x40 main shop, another 12x40 shop on the back that has a car stored in it plus lumber and garden stuff. Had to have a place for all my work tool boxes when they kicked me to the curb.

YooperDog What a great day you must have had. A fun day with family doing something you love. And great sausage to eat to boot. I did cheezits yesterday on the Masterbuilt and had the same problem. Put a pan of boiling water in it to get the temp high enough for it to start. Then had to wait for it to dry out. That said, I still wouldn’t trade it for anything else for the price.

Yeah I got it for a good price, and the couple of issues I had were taken care of quickly by the company. It serves the purpose for what I need, other than my BGE my other smokers are not insulated. I just don’t understand why they put a window in a smoker.

It was fun but a crazy 48 hrs making sausage, almost a bridge to far. My brother and I have made a couple of hundred pounds in the past on limited time, but that was limited 2-3 varieties and only fresh. Way to many opportunities to mess things up. I am glad that our youngest has developed an interest and was surprised his bride jumped right in.

Well this was a heck of a weekend. My brother was supposed to come up and we were to spend four days making sausage. It all started falling apart the day he was to head up. Proteins all pulled and seasonings set up. His four days shrank to two. We still cranked out 90+lbs of sausage, 10+lbs each fresh Polish, smoked Romanian, green hatch Chile, jalapeno poppers, five types of snack sticks. I will post some more pics a bit later, house is empty and I am cleaning up one more time and I am beat. Here is a pic of gigawatt snack sticks. About 50 lbs of venison snack sticks. My wife is sleeping now and she was taking the pictures with her phone.

25 lbs of W Beef Stick stuffed and just hanging out til tomorrow when it gets to meet the smoker. That seasoning just smells so good!! I’m gonna buy the Willies with MSG and see if there is a big difference between MSG and nonMSG. I’m still probably gonna like the W Beef Stick better though. Look at that particle definition through the casing, that’s what it’s all about!.132747A9-FBB1-4A15-85CD-80178AE291EC.jpeg

craigrice I like it, I have the suitcase mig welder to go with it. I also have a Lincoln inverter welder too, plasma cutter and some other toys. I bought the Bobcat when I was building trailers and had no power to the shop and also need something more portable. I also is a great back-up generator since it is 10Kw.

johnsbrewhouse Which Bobcat do you have? I used to have an 863, which was the largest they made at the time along with a big post hole auger for setting electric poles, a trencher, & of course the tooth bucket. I had to get rid of mine when I got transferred about 20 years ago, along with my John Deere Tractor, trailer, etc. I felt like I had my left arm cut off & have never been able to replace any of that stuff. Cannot afford them now. Very useful toys when we had a little more to work with. Don’t get me started. I sold mine to a guy that had the contract to travel around & do the landscaping & site work for Chick Filla. He wrote me a check for it & worried that it was hot as he thought I was selling it too cheap. I thought I was selling it for too much, but that is not the first time that has happened to me. Sounds like the story of my life. I would like to have one of those little MIG welders I can think of a whole lot of things to do with one. I used to have Oxy/Acyt, but had to get rid of all that stuff. Moving is rough & Margaret says no more. I don’t blame here, I would just like to get back to something a little more remote & build my own place again so.
