What did everyone cook today?

ND Mike I hadn’t had tater tots in years, when I decided I wanted tater tot hotdish. Then cooked up some tater tots by themselves in the air fryer oven, they would as good as I remebered.
bocephus Never heard of “Tater Tot Casserole” until it was served to me in the dorms my freshman year at University of Iowa (GO HAWKS!). Certainly does hit a spot!

Made 5 lbs. of Supreme Pizza Bratwurst’s with mozzarella and bacon. Was going to add pepperoni but didn’t have any in the fridge. After cooking the leftover cookie, it really didn’t need it. If the wife doesn’t like this one, I’m going to have her taster checked. Might have to add some mushrooms and bell peppers in my next batch.

johnsbrewhouse that’s a nice looking coil of meat

johnsbrewhouse I have a bag of that seasoning. I need to buy so e pork butts so I can make it!
ND Mike Mike, you will really enjoy it, use the high temp mozzarella cheese too. I didn’t know how the bacon would do, but I put a whole pound of maple bacon I made a couple of months ago that was a tad salty for eating and good for cooking. It came out great and the wife said she liked them. I sous vide them to 140 degrees, then finished them on the grill, make sure you prick the casings so they don’t tear once they hit the grill.

ND Mike Check Costco, I remember getting an online ad last week saying $5 off per package.

ND Mike Great looking wings! You ever use “The Vortex” for the Weber? Used to love it for wings on my Performer.
Jamieson22 I’ve never gotten around to buying one yet. I know they work well.

wdaly I have to agree with cdavis, I have used the smoke tube placed in the bottom of my Masterbuilt electric with great results. It does put off some heat so I recommend a pretty cold day/night
glen Thanks. I usually only do cheese when it’s pretty cold outside. Have done it in my GMG but hadn’t tried it in the Master built. It’s on my list now though.

wdaly A whole lot better than I thought with the addition of the bacon. It met the wife approval although I thought she was turning her nose up at it at first. She couldn’t figure out the fennel flavor then said she like the way it tasted. Winner for me!

Jamieson22 I enjoy tater tot casserole from time to time, but of course you can make it 100 different ways from Sunday!
